i done did it!

ok, so this:

may not look like much of an accomplishment, but i'm quite chuffed.

i've been playing with my new [to me] toy:

and haven't been able to thread it properly until just now. my mother gave it to me in favor of a model that is easier to thread. i assumed that since i'm pretty good with small mechanics, it would be a piece of cake. [insert buzzer here] it actually wasn't all that bad, but after an irritating experience with a husky rep., i decided to take it slow and low. apparently the trick is not in the threading, but more so in where you hold the silly things after you get them all in (under the foot, and behind, fyi).

maybe now that i've gotten this out of my system, i can get back to knitting. first though, i'm orf to make some napkins.

update:
i broke the throat plate already. i am awesome! i didn't even know you could break a throat plate. apparently you can't buy a new one, at any rate- i'm afraid this means another exciting adventure to the "no i can't help you, because i don't feel like it" husky shop.

if that's the only thing i am doing incorrectly (holding my threads iffy) then i will most def eat my hat (the purple one from jenna, that norton steals and runs off with every chance he gets).

YAY YOU SERGED!
